EJ girls use it defense to capture win

Bringing their A-game.

The East Juniata Juniata girls used its defense to its full potential Thursday as it was able to pull out a hard-fought 1-0 win over Susquenita.

All-time East Juniata scorer Kierstyn Fogle hit the lone goal after as was assisted by Leah Sankey at 39:49.

East Juniata finished with 11 Shots on goal and six keeper saves.

Susquenita finished with only six shots on goal.

With the win, the Lady Tigers upped its record to 8-1 overall and 8-0 in TVL action.

East Juniata’s next game is Friday against St Joseph.
