Elizabeth Gaisior Leads Juniata  Past KAHS

Juniata hurler Elizabeth Gaisior struck out 17 batters as the southpaw led Juniata Varsity Indi past KAHS 2-0 on Monday.

Gaisior surrendered two hits and zero runs over six and two-thirds innings while walking one.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Gaisior struck out 17, while KAHS sat down four.

Juniata got on the board in the fourth inning after Alexea Frontz doubled, scoring two runs.

Brianna Bauscher took the loss for KAHS. The right-handed pitcher went seven innings, giving up two runs on six hits, striking out four and walking one.

Frontz provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led the Indians with two runs batted in.

The right-handed hitter went 1-for-3 on the day. Shalelyn Armstrong, Frontz, Ashley Piper, Sophia Smith, Gaisior, and Victoria Moore each collected one hit for the Indians. Juniata didn’t commit a single error in the field. Regan Lowery had the most chances in the field with 17.

Felicia Oldt and Sadie Berger each collected one hit for KAHS. KAHS turned one double play in the game. KAHS didn’t commit a single error in the field. Ashley Noecker had the most chances in the field with five.
