BELLEFONTE – This one was ‘For the kids’!

Despite playing each other on the hardwood, the Philipsburg-Osceola and Bellefonte basketball teams once again came together to help raise money for the 4 Diamonds Club to help in the fight for childhood cancer. It was the 13th year the teams have come together to help in the fight to stamp out cancer in its Yearly Mini-thon.

Before hand  Kimberly Wilson and daughter Kennedy spoke before the varsity contest to thank both teams for their efforts and continued success as daughter. Kennedy. Kennedy has been cancer-free for over three years.

On the night’s agenda, the group held a raffle, a teddybear raffle, they took donations as well.

One of the highlights on the night was a teddy bear toss where members of the crowd bought mini bears and would throw them into mid-court and the closet to the gold ribbon in the middle got a prize.

It was a very successful evening as the group raised a total of $1,292.00 Quite a success as the group dedicated this night, For The Kids!!!

Congratulations to all.
