Fourth quarter woes continue; MC boys fall to Eagles

It was a tough scoring night for the MIfflin County boys’ basketball team Friday night as they fell to Cumberland Valley 70-33 on the road.

Tyler Metz was the Huskies leading scorer with 13.

Teammates Ty Felmlee and Cole Knable added seven in the loss.

Things started out as a fairly close first half as MIfflin County battled Cumberland Valley scoring six while the Eagles tallied 13. Both MIfflin County buckets were triples, one by Knable and one by Metz.

MIfflin County stepped the scoring up in the second only to be outscored by a slim 11-10 margin.

The Huskies were in striking distance at the half, trailing 24-16.

But the Huskies saw the contest start to deficit to add up when they were out scored 15-8.

In the final stanza, the Eagles put the game on ice as it was outscored 31-9 en route to the victory.
