Foxpro ends regular season on a high note!

LEWISTOWN – The Predators on Spring Creek and early and never looked back, taking a 13-3 victory during a five inning CCBL baseball game on Tuesday.
Foxpro got the bats going in the bottom half of the first inning where they scored a total of five runs in the frame.
Ethan Eichhorn got it started with a double to left field that scored both Xavier Smith and JP Pannizzo to put them up 2-0. Rylan Bailey later scored on a wild pitch before Ethan Eichhorn crossed home plate as his younger brother Landen had stolen second base. Landen then scored thanks to a single from Hayden Snook.
The Predators didn’t stop there as they added on four more runs in the bottom of the second inning. Bailey launched a two run homer over the left field fence scoring himself and Pannizzo. Tucker Gill singled in Ethan Eichhorn while Landen was driven in by Snook to make it 9-0.
But the Shockers were not going down without a fight as in the top of the third inning, they produced three runs. Conklin scored on an error at third before Josh McConnell was driven by a Jon Pelky single. Tom Delahoy latered came home on a passed ball cutting the lead to 9-3.
Foxpro responded in the bottom half of the same inning scoring four runs in the frame. It all began with a bases clearing double by Ethan Eichhorn. Eichhorn was later sent home with a double by Pannizzo which later became the go ahead winning run as the Predators closed the game out in the fifth inning.
The Predators were led by Ethan Eichhorn who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles and five runs batted in. Jaxson Pupo was the other multi hitter going 2-for-3 at the plate. Pannizzo, Snook, Smith, Gill, Bailey, Landen Eichhorn, Connor Cherry and Calin McKnight all had a hit in the game.
Spring Creek was led by McConnell, Conklin and Delahoy who all had a hit each.
Doug Weaver got the start on the mound for the Predators going three inning with a strikeout and two walk. Landon Black came into the game and pitched the last two innings and collected three strikeouts.
Conklin pitched the first two innings for the Shockers before being pulled for Pelky who finished the final two innings and had two strikeouts and two walks.
Both teams are now gearing up for the CCBL playoffs which will begin on Sunday. Foxpro will be at home but opponent has not yet been determined.
