Friday result: Hollidaysburg tops MIfflin County

LEWISTOWN – The young MIfflin County football team went up against a tough Hollidaysburg team Friday and added another level in their learning process as they fell 28-0.

In the first quarter, Hollidaysburg’s Jake McGinnis 36-yd pass to Avery Sloan to start the game scoring.

Teammate Ben Sosnowski kicked a successful PAT at 5:49 put the visitors ahead, 7-0.

Hollidayburg scored again later in the opening period when McGinnis connected on a 6-yard pass to Caden DeLattre.

MIfflin County was able to break scrimmage and block the PAT attempt with just 20.5 showing in the quarter.

McGinnis again hooked up with DeLattre, this time on a 21-yard pass. This time the PAT was successful with 46.2 left in the half.

Hollidaysburg ended its scoring in the third when Xander Bainey scored on a 15-yard run. The team converted on a 2-point conversion when Tucker Rossman passed it to Brady Steiner at the 8-minute mark.
