Gaisior, Juniata strikes out 17 but falls late to UD

After notching her 100th and 101st strike outs yesterday, Juniata pitcher Liz Gaisior continued to dominate her competition as she had 17 strikeouts to add to her career totals.

However, despite the strong night on the mound the Lady fell in a close 4-3 contest against Upper Dauphin.

Gaisior was on fire at the plate as she went 2-for-4 from the plate with two doubles and a run scored. Shalelyn Armstrong was 3-for-3 and scored a run, Mackenzie Lyter added a hit and RBI, and Navi Jackson also scored for Juniata.

Gaisior and her teammates went ahead 3-0 going into the seventh inning.

But Upper Dauphin rallied for four in their final at bats to steal the victory.

Next Game: 5/6 against Millersburg.
