Gaisior sets new TVL mark, Lady Indians win big, 22-0

MILLERSTOWN – Another day, another milestone for Juniata pitching phenom Liz Gaisior. Gaisior struck out 10 in her team’s 22-0 victory over Greenwood.

Coming into the contest, Gaisior just needed eight strike out to set the Tri-Valley League record of 573. She finished the night with the record posting 575 now with still some season to go and next season.

She also posted yet another no-hitter in the 4-inning victory.

Offensively, the Lady Indians were sizzling posting 12 hits on the night.

Gaisior had her A-game going at the plate as well as she went 2-for-3, with four RBIs and a run scored. S Armstrong led the ambush with a 4-for-4 effort with 3RBIs and three runs scored.

In the first, Juniata jumped on the scoreboard posting seven runs. The continued to put the pressure on in the second as well adding five more to their lead, making it a 12-0 advantage going into the third.

The Indians had to just settle for a lone run in the third but made the fourth count as they put the game away with a 9-run effort.

With the win, Juniata remains with just one loss on the season.

Thursday they will be back in action as the will host rival East Juniata in their last home game of the season.
