Game Goes Down To The Wire As Mifflin County 13u All Stars  Loses To Roxborough On Final Play

Mifflin County 13u All Stars fell to Roxborough 2-1 on Thursday on the final play of the game. The game was tied at one in the bottom of the seventh when David Cupchak singled, scoring one run.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Roxborough pitchers struck out three, while Mifflin County sat down five.

Roxborough were the first to get on the board in the third when one run scored on another play.

Sullivan Mastrangelo balked, which helped Mifflin County tie the game at one in the top of the sixth.

Mastrangelo earned the win for Roxborough. The starting pitcher surrendered four hits and one run over five and two-thirds innings, striking out one and walking one. Noah Bunch took the loss for Mifflin County . The lefty went two and one-third innings, surrendering one run on five hits, striking out one and walking none. River Knepp started on the bump for the Mifflin County 13s. The righty surrendered one hit and one run (zero earned) over two and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking two.

Chase Krepps led Mifflin County  with two hits in three at bats.

Cupchak went 1-for-3 at the plate as they led the team with one run batted in. Claude Miros Jr went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Roxborough in hits.

Mifflin County will travel to UDHL for their next game on Friday.
