Mifflin County grinded it out with Hollidaysburg but the timely hitting of the Golden Tigers were too much for the Huskies as they fell in straight sets in a 5-0 Mid-Penn Conference boys tennis matchup.
Gavin Ream represented the Huskies in the first singles match up against Hollidaysburg’s Nathan Barton. Barton went on to win the first set 6-1 before closing the match out in the second set with a 6-0 victory.
Trent Shade competed for Mifflin County in the second singles going one on one with Jadd Younes. Younes went on winning both sets by the final score of 6-0.
Noah Holland of the Huskies was defeated by Haddy Obeld in third singles with again both sets ending with the score of 6-0.
Quinn Millerand Luke Grove then took on the team of Ben Johnson and Paul Rose where Johnson and Rose came out victorious winning 6-1 in the first set before winning the second set 6-0.
In the second doubles match up Jaron Yoder and Owen Shuey competed against the duo of Trent Gallagher and Aragorn Clarke. The first set of this doubles match was very intense as both teams traded shots with one another where ultimately ended in a 6-6 tie forcing a tiebreaker. Then in the tiebreaker, Gallagher and Clarke took control of the match winning the tiebreaker 7-2. From then on Gallagher and Clark just did not look back taking the second set with a 6-0 win.
