Huskie track stars shine at Tim Cook Invitational
Saturday at the Tim Cook Invitational, the Mifflin County track and field team shined as numerous athletes finished as place winners.
The crew was led by Skylar Ciccolini. Skylar was the Outstanding Field Athlete for the meet.
On the day, Ciccolini finished first in the High jump. Ciccolini’s jump of 5’4” tied a meet record and a New MCHS school record.

In the Javelin, 1st Skylar also struck gold with a throw of 158’4” which is a new meet record.
Teammate in the Javelin,Taylor Ciccolini’s throw of 138’8” was good enough for third.
She also came up large in the in the Pole Vault taking him a 1st place nod. Taylor Ciccolini’s lunge of 11’0” was a new MCHS school record and Mifflin County Record.
It was a memorable night for Ella Spriggle as well.
In the 100-hurdles Spriggle finished fourth with a time of 16.58.
She also placed third in the 300-hurdles securing a time of 49.12.
Spriggle rounded out the day in the High jump with a 2nd place jump of 5’2”.
Jumper Kiana Sechler has a fifth and second place finish in the long jump and triple jump, respectively.
In the Long Jump Sechler finished fifth with a jump of 15’11”.
In the triple jump, Sechler finished second with a launch of 33’3-3/4”
In the 3200, Joy Galbraith finished third with a time of 12:43.64.
Rounding out the top girls’ finishers in the day was Layla Shimps 7th place finish in the Discus. She finished with a top throw of 87’8”.
On the boys’ side, Seth Phillips took the 800-meter run with a top time of 1:58.77.
In the 1600-meters Chayce Macknair finished first with a time of 4:26.65.
In the 4×8 relay, the Huskies came out on top. The combination of Chase Sheaffer, Noah Bowers, Chayce Macknair and Seth Phillips, finished with a time of 8:28.66.
