Hustling Lady Huskies win again; tops Chambersburg

Another day. Another win.

The MIfflin County girls basketball team seems to be starting to peak at the right time.

Tonight against Chambersburg was another example of that as the Huskies pulled out the 61-34 victory.

MIfflin County finished with three players in double figures on the evening.

Leading the offensive push was Marissa Gingrich who posted a game-high 19-point effort.

Brianna Bodtorf followed up with a 17-point night while teammate Kate Knable rounded things out with 13.

Chambersburg was led by Kiki Walker with 10.

In the opening period, the Lady Huskies posted a 14-8 advantage after the first eight minutes.

Though it was a little tougher battle in the second but MIfflin County muscled out a 10-8 tally.

When the two went into the intermission, the Huskies led 24-16.

MIfflin County came out of the half with its offense sizzling, posting a 23-point period while holding Chambersburg to 12.

In the final stanza, the Huskies cemented the win as they won the fourth quarter as well outscoring them 14-6 for the victory.
