In D4 action, East Juniata falls late to Warrior Run

TURBOTSVILLE – AIt was a night of nail biting action in the District 4 playoff opener between East Juniata girls and Warrior Run Friday night. After a back and forth final stanza, Warrior run edged East Juniata 38-36. Thea Neimond finished with 15 for the Tigers.

Early on, the Lady Tigers started off with taking the first quarter in a 7-6 defensive first period. The two defenses continued to take center stage in the second quarter as the Lady Tigers took a 16-13 advantage into the intermission.

The Tigers continue to roll along with the lead into the final stanza holding a 25-20 advantage. But the home team rallied back in the final stanza going on a 18-11 run to end the game and take home the victory.
