Juniata baseball falls late to Millersburg

Juniata battled head-to-head with Tri-Valley League foe, 9-6 in a game that would be a close contest until a 3-run seventh inning by Millersburg en route to the 9-5 victory.

The Indians hit their opponent 11-9 but it would be defensive errors that would by Juniata’s Achilles heel on the night, committing six errors.

Winning Pitcher on the night was Conner Zimmerman while Losing Pitcher was Juniata’s Josh Bomberger.

 “Walks and errors set us back early and often today.  Offensively we hit the ball well (11 hits), but still leaving too many runners on base,” said Juniata coach Nick Beward. “ Devon Nealman got a few needed innings of work on the bump.”

 Juniata’s Devon Nealman posted a double in the loss.

Juniata Batters with Multiple Hits were Nealman 2-for-3, CJ Bonson 2-for-4 and Jace White 2-for-4.
