Juniata baseball outlasts Penns Valley

It was nail biting time Thursday night as the Juniata baseball team held onto a 4-3 victory over Penns Valley.

Winning Pitcher on the night was Will Orwig while Losing Pitcher was Clayton Paul.

Juniata starting pitcher was Nathan Berry. Berry finished with three strike outs and three walks.

Opposing Pitchers Nathan Blasick had nine strike outs and two walks.

Juniata got a triple from Paul Ames (1).

Penns Valley’s Nathan Blasick roped two doubles.

Picking up multiple hit performances were Nathan Blasick 2-for-4, Bedzowski 2-for-4 and Buffington 2-for-4.

“Nathan Berry pitched extremely well once again. He has been consistent and he’s been giving our club a chance to win each and every time he takes the mound,” said Juniata coach Nick Beward. “ Wonderful job by Will Orwig to throw the 7th and come up with the game winning hit. Great team effort this evening!!!”

Picking up RBIs on the night for the Indians were Devon Nealman (1),Jace White (1), Will Orwig (1) and Jacob Condo (1)
