Juniata boys explode for 11-goal afternoon in win over Wolves

It was an offensive explosion for the Juniata boys soccer team topped St. Joe’s 11-2 Monday night.

Anthony Maradiaga finished with a hat trick and a goal for Juniata. Teammate Cooper Adamire finished his day against the Wolves with a hat trick as well.

In the First Half,

Juniata opened the scoring on a  Jackson Shellenberger goal that was assisted by Landon Beward at 29:04.

Less than a minute later the Indians scored again. Juniata, scored by Jackson Shellenberger thanks to an assist by Mason Beward.

At the 23:27 mark, St. Joe’s scored their first goal.

Just under the 10-minute mark, 8:43 the Indians scored again. This time Juniata scored on a Landon Beward penalty kick.

At 3:37, Maradiaga tallied goal number one as he was assisted by Hayden Burd.

With 2:03 left in the first, Juniata scored on another goal by Maradiaga. The assist came from  Arthur Hazard.

St. Joe’s got the second half scoring, posting a goal at 36:03.

At 27:01 – Juniata, scored a hat trick by Maradiaga, assisted by Ricky Guante.

Maradiaga  scored his fourth and final goal at 25:47.

With the contest dipping below 14:57 Juniata picked up a score by Cooper Adamire, assisted by Jackson Shellenberger.

At 13:54, Jackson Shellenberger scored as he was assisted by Ricky Guante.

Juniata, scored once again. This time Adamire went back in the score column at 6:34.

Rounding out the scoring at 4:42 for Juniata was Adamire.

The Indians dominated in shots on goal by a 24-6 margin while they also led in corners by an 8-2 margin.
