Juniata boys fall to Halifax

 

 

The Juniata boys soccer team had a minor set back Monday as they battled a tough Halifax and came up short, falling 4-2.

After two first half goals by Halifax, back came the Indians on a Juniata, goal scored by Anthony Maradiaga as he was assisted by Hayden Burd at 9:26.

But Wildcats snuck in a late score with 0:59.

Halifax opened the second half with its final goal.

The Indians battled back to punch in its second goal at 14:28. Juniata, scored by a Cooper Adamire goal with an assist by Ricky Guante.

In the shots on goal department, Halifax led 9-8 while Juniata led in corners by a 6-3 margin.

Juniata goalie Wyatt Dessin finished with five saves.
