Juniata boys fall to tough West Perry squad

After battling tough for most of their contest against West Perry, the Juniata boys basketball team fell 41-24.

Leading the scoring for the Indians were Yadiel Ortiz with six while teammates Jacob Condo and Jamie Bailor had five each.

In the first quarter, West Perry broke out with 11 points while its defense held the Indians to just four.

However, the second quarter belonged to Juniata as it outscored West Perry 7-5, going into halftime trailing 16-12.

West Perry came out in the thirds, lighting things up from beyond the 3-point line, taking a 14-4 scoring advantage at 30-16, heading into the final stanza.

Juniata did not go out without a fight as it battled strong but was outscored by West Perry 11-9 en route to the 41-24 WP victory.
