Juniata boys hold onto nail biting 2-1 victory
Thursday, the Juniata and Shikellamy boys soccer team found themselves in a nail biter.
When the dust settled, the Indians were able to grind out a 2-1 victory.
Juniata outshot the Braves 10-2 and tied in corners at three each.
In the first half, Juniata scored first
at 34:12 when Anderson Portzline
Put in an unassisted goal.
However at 30:26, Shikellamy tied the contest.
The two would go into the intermission tied at one.
Going into the second half, at
34:31 Juniata scored the go ahead go. Anthony Maradiaga found the back of the net as he was assisted by Jackson Shellenberger.
From there both defenses took over as neither team allowed another goal the rest of the way.
