Juniata boys open the flood gates; tops LM by 11

Open the flood gates!!

The Juniata boys soccer team brought a flood of goals Tuesday to Line Mountain’s goalie, finishing with a 12-1 victory.

“It was nice to see the team be unselfish in front of goal and also stay composed while given goal scoring opportunities,” said Juniata coach Jared Byler. “Our younger players got some excellent Varsity experience and created a lot of chemistry on the field to build off of for the future.”

In the first half,  Juniata  started things off at 19:35  on a Brian Marshall who was assisted by Brant Walters.

Back came the Indians at 17:50  on a Penalty kick by Stuart Dare.

With time driving below the 10-minute mark Juniata scored again at 4:19  when Kadyn Kuhn scored off a pass from Will Saner.

The Indians weren’t done quite yet as they scored at 3:39 . This time Kadyn Kuhn scored off a pass by teammate Nathan Swailes.

As the first half wound down Juniata scored at 0:31 -when Will Sane scored off a pass by Henry Montoya.

In the second half Juniata continued to sizzle from beginning to end.

At 37:45 Bryce Rush started off the scoring of an assist by Stuart Dare.

Juniata was at it again at 30:04 when Brian Marshall got his name into the scorebook thanks to an assist by Bryce Rush.

The Indians scored again at the 27:27 when Stuart Dare scored on an assist by Ben Wagner.

Ben Wagner hit his own goal at 26:06 by Henry Montoya.

Line Mountain scored its lone goal at 11:37.

Juniata was at once again at 11:00 thanks to Will Saner goal.

At 5:37 left in the game clock, Bryce Rush scored thanks to a pass by Henry Montoya.

Rounding out the night Juniata scored its last goal at 1:22 when Will Saner sent a shot home off of an assist by Henry Montoya.

In the Shots on Goal department, Juniata outshot Line Mountain 23 – 8.

Juniata  Keeper Johny Dessin finished with five and teammate Nick Dressler finished with four.

Line Mountain tallied eight on the night.

Corner Kicks were led by the Indians 9-2.
