Juniata boys pick up impressive road win over Blackhawks

After a hard fought victory over Saint Joseph’s Academy on Monday, the upstart Juniata boys soccer team went on the road Wednesday to battle Susquenita in a Tri-Valley League contest.

Defensively, the Indians blanked the Blackhawks while its offense were able to post two in the first and two in the second en route to the 4-0 victory.

“ It was a great team effort this evening. Everyone played together as a team and remained positive,” said Juniata coach Jared Byler. They showed a lot maturity and growth tonight as a team which is a step in the right direction for a young team. Everyone that got onto the field played well for us.”

At 37:46 Marcio Cardenas got the Indians on the scoreboard on an unassisted goal.

Bryce Rush rounded out the first half scoring as he picked up an Assist by Arthur Hazard at 23:40.

Rush opened up the second half scoring posting an goal at 37:57 he was Assisted by Marcio Cardenas

Arthur Hazard thanks to a pass from  by Ricky Guante rounded out the game scoring with a goal at 23:40.

Juniata led in shots on goal by a 17-2.

They also led in corner kicks 4-3.
