Juniata boys shut out Susquenita in TVL showdown

The Juniata boys soccer team had a strong team win Wednesday against Susquenita in Tri-Valley League action.

In the end, the Indians defeated the Blackhawks 2-0.

After a scoreless first half, the Juniata offense got started with two goals

At 8:34, Juniata scored on a Daniel Lopez shot assisted by Arthur Hazard.

Then at the 8:10 mark, Juniata’s , goal was scored by Anthony Maradiaga with the assist coming from Chase Hartland.

Juniata in shots on goal by a 14-5 margin. They also led in corner opportunities by an 8-2 margin.

The Indians goalie Nolan Imes finished with eight saves while Susquenita had 12.

Girls soccer

The Juniata girls also battled Susquenita. However, the Blackhawks took the contest 5-0.
Yaa Serwaa recorded 12 saves in the game.
