Juniata boys soccer team shuts out Tyrone

The Juniata boys team put the points on Tyrone Saturday, topping the Golden Eagles 4-0.

Bryson Rush had a hat trick for the Indians in the victory.

“A good solid team effort. The entire squad stayed engaged the entire game,” said Juniata coach Jared Byler. “We are happy with the win and improvements we have made, but there are still a lot of areas we can improve upon as a team.”

First Half Goals were started by Bryce Rush off an assist from Dawson Harper at the 36:17 mark.

The two hooked up again at 29:26 when Rush off another assist by Harper, upping it to a 2-0 contest.

Defensively, the Indians were able to post the shut out and add two late goals to the tally.

Second Half Goals were scored by

Stuart Dare on a Penalty Kick and at 2:36 – Rush captured the hat trick and secured the win.

The Indians led in shots on goal by a 10-4 mark and went 5-4 on corner kicks.
