Juniata boys sweeps St. Joseph’s

MIFFLINTOWN- Juniata with the sweep!
After beating St. Joseph’s early in the season, the two were back at Monday at Juniata’s home field.
The results were the same as the Indians exploded for an 8-3 victory.
After the first half, the Indians held a close 2-1 advantage.
Juniata scored first at 32:19 as Anthony Maradiaga from an assist by Ricky Guante.
Minutes later at 29:16, Juniata scored again on a Maradiaga goal. He was assisted by Daniel Lopez.
St. Joe’s rounded out the scoring in the opening half posting a goal at 7:52.
Juniata exploded offensively in the second half posting six more goals while holding the Wolfpack to two goals.
Starting off at 38:03 was a Juniata goal scored by Daniel Lopez, assisted by Arthur Hazard.
St. Joe’s scored their first goal of the half at 23:32.
Ricky Guante scored once again at 18:03 hitting on an unassisted goal.
At 17:05, St. Joe’s scored their last goal of the game.
At 11:39 – Maradiaga completed a hat trick thanks to an assist by Hayden Burd.
Daniel Lopez continued to pad the Juniata lead at 10:59 posting a Penalty Kick.
At 10:10 – Maradiaga made it a 4-goal night as he was assisted by Drew Bennett.
Rounding out the game scoring at 5:35 was the Indians. , Again it was Maradiaga posting a goal as he was assisted by Cooper Adamire.
The Indians outshot the Wolfpack 20-6 and in corner kicks by a 7-3 margin.
Juniata goalie Nolan Imes had four saves.
