Volleyball
ROCHESTER, NY – The Eagles came into Nazareth and took care of business defeating the Golden Flyers in straight sets.
Juniata took the first set 25-18, 25-12 in the second set before closing the match out in the third and final set 25-15. Juniata College Friday Sports Rundown
Aly Reardon led the Eagles in kills with 10 while Kiona Sky Rousset-Hernandez had 13digs for the game.
Golf
ALTOONA – Juniata College placed fifth of their season opener out of eight teams in the Mountain Valley Collegiate Classic with a total team score of 334.
The top Eagles was Kamden Clapper who shot an 79 of the match and placing him overall thirteenth spot.
Cross Country
BETHLEHEM – Both Juniata College’s Women and Men’s teams competed in the Moravian Invitational.
For the Women, the Eagles came in with an overall seventh placed finish. Emily Vogt was the top runner for Juniata finishing in the 12th spot with a time of 24:57.9.
On the Men’s side of the meet, Evan Thomas led the way on the course for the Eagles coming in 30th place at 20:29.6

Juniata College Saturday Sports Rundown

Volleyball
ROCHESTER, NY – Two games in one day, no problem for the number 14 ranked Juniata College Eagles defeating both Rochester Institute of Technology and Geneseo during the Nazareth Invitational.
In game one the Eagles defeated Rochester in three straight sets winning the first match 25-11 before closing out the match by the final of 25-18 in the next two sets.
Kennedy Christy led the team in kills with 11.
Then in game two against Geneseo, Juniata again won three straight with the first set 25-11. Then in the second set, by the final of 25-14 before closing it out with a 25-16 victory.
Kennedy Christy had 12 kills for the game and Kiona Sky Rousset-Hernandez collected 17 digs.
Juniata College is now (8-1) and will host the Messiah Falcons on Friday.
Women’s Soccer
HUNTINGDON – Neither team won’t willing to budge as the Juniata College Eagles and the Hood University Blazers to a 1-1 tie.
Both goals were scored in the second half of the game with the lone goal for the Eagles was by Helen Chavez with an assist from Alyssa Bui.
Juniata College travels to Penn State Altoona on Wednesday.
Men’s Soccer
HUNTINGDON – Juniata lost to Chatham 2-1 in Men’s soccer action.
Sean Weiland scored the only goal for the Eagles with an assist from Blake Cassel.
Juniata College hosts Grove City on Tuesday.
Field Hockey
CENTER VALLEY – Juniata College fell to DeSales in a 4-1 field hockey victory.
The Eagles were led by Sydney Witter scored the only goal for the game.
Juniata College will host Wilson Wednesday.
