Juniata County round up; East Juniata field hockey team notches close wi

The East Juniata field hockey team played against Southern Huntingdon in varsity field hockey at EJHS on Monday.   The Tigers took the nail biter EJ, 4-3. In an intense atmosphere, East Juniata’s Chloe Benazel scored three goals for the Tigers. she hit one in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd quarters.  Katelyn Walker scored another goal for EJ in the 2nd quarter.  

Volleyball

Millersburg 3, East Juniata 0

The East Juniata volleyball team kept things close in their match against Millersburg.

However, they were swept in straight sets 25-22, 25-8 and 25-15.

Shayanne Pyle had six digs followed by Brenna Watts with five.

Girls soccer

Susquenita 4, Juniata 2

It was a tough outing for the Juniata girls soccer team as they fell to a tough Susquenita team 4-2.

Posting goals for the Indians were Amelia Smith and Victory Frontz. Both came in the second half.

East Juniata 0, Millersburg 0
Grace Hibbs had 28 saves for EJ
