Juniata 10 – St. Joseph’s 11
Juniata 15 – Susquenita 50
Juniata 14 – Upper Dauphin 22
“We were lucky to have modified scoring for the meet which allowed us to take wins against every girls team tonight,” Juniata coach Jeff Miller said . “I had Sylvia run fartlek in her race and she executed the workout planned perfectly coming away with more confidence after being a little disappointed with her BVI result on Saturday. Hannah ran a better race than BVI tonight with a new personal best time. Carolyn wasn’t feeling the greatest in the race, but stayed tough and helped the team.”

Senior Joey Bomberger came in next in 2nd place with a time of 17:15.90. Senior Wesley Ehrisman took 3rd with a time of 18:55.14. “We got in a great workout tonight. I had Wyatt, Joey, Wesley, Coy, and Teagan run a fartlek workout within the 5k race to get some different stimulus than just racing a 5k all out,” Juniata coach Jeff Miller said. Kade, Joel, Luke, and David worked on their pacing since they are so new to the sport. It was a great night for everyone.”

Juniata coach Jeff Miller said “It was a little disappointing that we didn’t have any junior high runners from other teams, but everyone competed like there was. I’m seeing improvement from everyone each week. Only a few have previous cross country experience so getting the kids to figure out pacing doesn’t happen overnight. Many of them are figuring out how a even paced race will get them the best result in the end. I’m very fortunate to have such a great group of kids believe I can make them a much better runner.”
