Juniata girls fall to tough Warrior Run team

It was a tough night on the hardwood for the Juniata girls basketball team as they lost a 67-44 Non-league contest to Warrior Run Thursday.

Leading the offensive charge for the Indians was Mackenzie Bennett with 11 while teammate Olivia Clark had 10.

Two Juniata players missed double digits as Talon Walton and Myra Rush both chopped in with eight.

Warrior run was led by the shooting of Sydney Hoffman who finished with a game-High 20 points.

Teammates Emily McKee and Gracie Beachel finishes with a 17-point and 15-point evening, respectively.

In the first quarter, both teams played fairly even as both posted 10 apiece in the period.

Things remained fairly close in the second as well as Warrior Mark outscored the Indians by just a bucket 14-12.

When the two went into the half, Warrior Run held a slim 24-22 advantage.

However,  the game changed in the third when Warrior Mark started to pull away, outscoring Juniata 21-10 and then 22-12 in fourth en route to the victory.
