Juniata girls outlast Mifflin County in OT thriller

It was a nail biter from beginning to end as the Juniata girls soccer team met up with a tough Mifflin County team in a battle between Mifflin and Juniata Counties.

In the end, the Indians would come out the winner of a 3-2 Overtime contest.

Juniata’s Reagan Lowery got the scoring started scored with 2.5 seconds to go in the first half on a pass from Ashyln Pannebaker.

Mifflin County rallied back in the second on a Sarah Henry goal from Lily Yoder at 59:40.

Pannebaker scored, giving the Lady Indians the lead on a through ball played to her where she took the keeper 1v1.

But Mifflin County refused to go out without a fight as Kate Bickhart tied the contest thanks to an assist by Danielle Warfel at 67:33.

Juniata’s Haley Mummah would giver team the win as she scored in Overtime.

Mifflin County goalkeeper Bailey McNitt finished with three goals while Juniata’s goalie Hailey Kepner recorded 8 saves.
