Juniata holds off Greenwood, 3-1

MIFFLINTOWN – The Juniata Indians added another “W” to their win column as they outlasted Greenwood 3-1.

Despite being outhit 7-2, the Indians made the most of their opportunities.

Picking up hits for Juniata were Grant Reinhold and Jerret Condo.

In the first, the Indians were able to get one across.

With two out, Reinhold doubled to keep the inning alive. Condo’s single, plated Reinhold, making it a 1-0 contest.

It was patience at the plate in the second that resulted in two more runs being scored as three walks and a wild pitch led to runs.

Greenwood would cut into the lead as they scored one in the top of the third.

But that would be the only run that the Indians would allow as they picked up the win.

Notching the win on the mound was Carson Kepner.
