Juniata outlasts Halifax in boys basketball action

Another clutch win for the Juniata boys basketball team.
Tuesday the Indians went up against Tri-Valley League battle with Halifax.
In the end, the Indians came out the victors of a 44-34 contest.
Leading the way for the victors was Austin Derr who finished with a team-high 16 points.
Teammate GG Ortiz finished with 10 points in the win.
Halifax got an 12-point effort by Ward Garner. Teammate Gage Shoop was next with 11.
Halifax took a 1-point lead after one, leading 10-9.
They added to their firs quarter lead in the second, outscoring Juniata 12-8.
When the two went into the intermission, Halifax led 22-17.
But the momentum swung on the Indians side in the third, thanks to an 18-8 period.
Juniata never looked back as they outscored Halifax 9-4 en route to the victory.
