Juniata softball falls in tough extra inning battle

The Juniata softball team lost a heartbreaker Friday night in extra innings to Tri-Valley League foe Halifax 8-6 in 10 innings.

With the loss, Juniata falls to 4-6 while Halifax ups it’s record to 9-3.

Liz Gaisior struck out 20 and went 3-5 from the plate with a double, 2 runs, and 2 RBIs. Shalelyn Armstrong was also 3-5 with a double and 3 runs scored. Lexi Frontz was 2-5 with an RBI, and Navi Jackson had a 2 RBI single in the 8th to tie the game for Juniata and send the game into the 9th. 

Next game 5/2 at Halifax.
