Lady Eagles top Lady Indians in D6 match up

WINGATE – In the battle between Centre and Juniata County, the Bald Eagle softball team topped Juniata 7-2.

Winning pitcher on the night was Marina Shawley as she went four innings, allowing two runs, four hits two Strike outs and two walks.

Maddie Peters picked up the save going three innings allowing a hit to go along with six strike outs.

The Eagles Maddie Fisher finished with three hits and a double. Makena Baney has two hits while Maddie Peters Highlighted the game with a Grand Slam and 4 RBI.

“It was solid game. Got four quality innings from Shawley,” Bald Eagle coach Don Lucas said. “We got timely hitting from our DP Maddie Fisher. We got a big hit from Maddie Peters’ HR and another great night at the plate from Baney. We played good defense and I was pleased how we controlled the game start to finish.

Next game tomorrow, home against Penns Valley. 4:30.
