Lady Huskies back to its winning ways; down Carlisle

The MIfflin County girls basketball team got back to its winning ways Friday night as they defeated Carlisle 52-43.

Leading the way offensively for the Lady Huskies was Marissa Gingrich with a game high 23-points.

Teammate Brianna Bodtorf followed with an 11-point effort.

Maggie Thomas led the way for Carlisle posting 16 points while teammate Sabrina Starling finished with 11.

Gingrich led the way for the Huskies in the first as they outscored Carlisle 11-10 after the period ended.

Mifflin County continued the scoring barrage, posting 15 more points in the second while holding Carlisle to eight.

Going into the intermission, Mifflin County had a 26-18 advantage.

It would be more of the same for the Lady Huskies in the third as they continued to outscore Carlisle. This time the Huskies outscored Carlisle 16-14.

Carlisle finally was able to outscore Mifflin County 11-10 but it was too little too late as the Huskies went onto the victory.
