Lady Huskies fall short in home opener against Palmyra

In its home opener, the Mifflin County girls team found itself in quite a battle with Palmyra but fell just short, 50-41.

The Lady Huskies got a game-high 20-point scoring effort by Brianna Bodtorf.

Mya Aumiller followed up with a 7-point performance in the loss.

Palmyra was led in the scoring department by Elena Cota with 15 while teammate Genievea Martin followed with 13.

Palmyra led the game early on as they took an 18-10 lead after one.

Bodtorf led the Lady Huskies with six points.

The visitors added to their lead in the second as Palmyra outscored MIfflin County 35-21.


However in the second half, the Huskies came soaring back.

MIfflin County outscored Palmyra 20-15, but it fell just short of the comeback.
