Lady Huskies lose tough match against Hershey
Hershey had the Mifflin County Girls soccer teams’ number Thursday afternoon as it defeated the Lady Huskies 3-1.
Things started well for the Huskies as it picked up the first goal in the game.
MIfflin County’s Morgan Breon smoked an unassisted goal at 12:07.
The Lady Huskies would hold the lead until 39:44, just seconds left in the first.
Hershey’s Isabelle Stoute sent the game tied going into the intermission on an unassisted goal at 39:44.
In the second half it was all Hershey.
Damaria Wedderburn from an Abby Wilson assist, posted a goal at 56:00.
Rounding out the scoring on the day was Caroline Glus as she scored off a Damaria Wedderburn pass at 77:21, making it 3-1.
Hershey outshot Mifflin County 12-1 and led in corners 12-1 also.
Mifflin County goalie Maddison Finkenbiner had nine saves while Hershey’s Alexis Moodie didn’t have any.
MIfflin County is 1-6-1 in the Mid-Penn and 4-8-1.
The Lady Huskies will play next Saturday at Juniata.
