Lady Huskies pick up hard fought home win against Lower Dauphin

Back in the win column!

The MIfflin County girls basketball team gave its fans a lot to cheer for Friday night as it took care of Lower Dauphin 54-45 in a Mid-Penn match up.

Brianna Bodtorf had the hot hand on the night posted a 19-point night.

Three of her teammates Mya Aumiller, Kate Knable and Marissa Gingrich contributed with nine.

Lauren Kirsch paced Lower Dauphin with 14 points.

MIfflin County started off strong, outscoring LD 10-4.

Bodtorf scored seven of the team’s 10.

Both teams battled back and forth throughout the second period finishing in a stalemate with both posting 14 points in the quarter.

When the two went into the intermission, the Lady Huskies led 24-18.

Coming out of the break, the two continued its back-and-forth battle but this time the Huskies outmuscled Lower Dauphin 12-10. Bodtorf again led the way with five.

Going into the final stanza, MIfflin County took care of buisness as they once again narrowly outscored their opponent 18-17.

This time Eva Day posted two triples as she led her team in scoring in the quarter, clinching the win for the Lady Huskies.
