Lady Huskies pour in 69 points but falls to Trinity

Offense took center stage Wednesday night when the MIfflin County girls basketball team traveled to Trinity.

Despite the Lady Huskies finishing with four players finishing with double digits, it wouldn’t be snobby as Trinity would take the contest, 83-69.

Katie Knable finished with a team-high 17.

Teammates Marissa Gingrich and Brianna Bodtorf both finished with 16 each.

Rounding out the double-digit scorers was Emma Weaver with 11.

Trinity started off strong posting a 26-7 advantage after one.

Despite trailing by 19, the Lady Huskies battled in the second being outscored by only a 21-16 margin in the second and then a 21-19 margin in the third.

In the final stanza, the never-say-die MIfflin County team sizzled outscoring Trinity 27-15.

But unfortunately it wasn’t enough for the Lady Huskies to come back from.
