Lady Huskies roll past the Falcons in Monday night action

LEWISTOWN – It was a total team effort.
Numerous Lady Huskies stood up and made clutch plays Monday night as MIfflin County topped Lower Dauphin in a 57-40 Mid-Penn victory.
Defensively, the Huskies dominated the boards finishing with a 24-17 advantage over the Falcons.
Marissa Gingrich and Mya Aumiller finished with 18 points. Gingrich also was strong on the boards and delivered pin-point passes to her teammate in transition.
Bri Bodtorf had 12 points, two block shots and eight boards.
In the first, the Huskies got out to a strong start. Gingrich led the way by posting nine points in the quarter, leading to the 17-7 advantage.
The Falcons slowed the Huskies offense in the second quarter, allowing only 10 points.
However, the Lady Huskies’ defense shutdown the Lower Dauphin offense for the second quarter in a row, allowing 9.
When the two teams went into the intermission, MIfflin County held a 27-16 advantage.
Mifflin County got its transition offense going again early in the third and rode it to a 15-10 advantage going into the final stanza.
Holding onto to a dominating 42-26 lead going into the fourth quarter, the Huskies were able to post another 15-point effort, holding off a strong 13-point effort by the Falcons in a losing effort.
In the JV game, MIfflin County held onto a 56-18 victory.
Jalee Bodtorf led the way with 24 points while Gracen Haines chipped in 12.
