Lady Huskies take care of Hershey in Friday night delight

The MIfflin County girls basketball team ended its week on a bright note Friday as they dominated Hershey in a Mid-Penn Contest, 50-34.

Marissa Gingrich lit up the scorebook with a 17-point effort.

Teammate Brianna Bodtorf chipped in 10 while Kate Knable just missed a double digit performance, collecting nine.

Hershey got a 13-point evening from Anna Coulter.

MIfflin County’s defense started the game, holding Hershey to six while the Huskies netted nine.

Things continued to go right for the Lady Huskies as they again outscored Hershey in the second, 14-10.

Going into the intermission, MIfflin County led 23-16.

Things got a little closer in the third as for the second quarter in a row, MIfflin County scored 14 while Hershey had 13.

MIfflin County ended its night on a strong note, outscoring Hershey 13-6 en route to the win.
