Lady Indians top Greenwood in six

The Juniata girls’ softball team got another mark in the win column Thursday, defeating Greenwood 13-3 in a run shortened 6-inning contest.

Laney Dowling went 3-for-4 in the contest with 5RBIs. Teammate Kali Foltz went 3-for-5 with 3RBIs and three runs.

Other multiple hitters were Maci Kreider, Hunter Johns and Olivia Laub, all with two.

The Lady Indians roped 13 hits in the win.

Picking up the win on the night was Ally Misal as she went the distance, allowing only three runs on nine hits while striking out eight and walking two.

Juniata scores three in the first and two in the second to take a 5-0 advantage.

They would add three more in the third before Greenwood would answer back in the bottom of the inning, making it 8-2.

The Lady Indians added three more in the fourth and two in the sixth while keeping the Wildcats to just one late run.
