Lady Indians top Montoursville in strong fashion, 57-42

It was a strong effort by the Juniata girls Saturday night, topping Montoursville 57-41.

Olivia Clark lit it up for the Indians as she finished with a 17-point effort.

Malin Kint was strong inside, posting 12 points while teammate Mackenzie Bennett rounded out the double-digit scoring with a 10-point effort.

Early on, the Lady Indians came out strong as it outscored Montoursville 19-10.

Leading the way was Clark and Kint’s six-point efforts.

Juniata expanded the lead in the second quarter as it was able to post 15 points while holding Montoursville to 11.

Going into the intermission, the Lady Indians held a 34-21 advantage.

Both teams both posted a 14-point showing in the third, keeping Juniata ahead by 13 going into the final stanza.

Juniata continued the sweep, winning the scoring battle in the fourth 14-11 en route to the victory.
