Lady Rams top Saint Joseph’s 15-0 in softball action

The New Kids on the Block went up against the Grizzled veteran Wednesday when the young Saint Joseph’s Academy went up against Penns Valley in softball action.

In the end, the veteran squad of the Lady Rams came out victorious over the Wolfpack 15-0.

Picking up the victory for the Rams was Avery Dinges.

Dinges finished with eight strikeouts and one hit batter.

Losing pitcher: L. Weller – 6 strikeouts.

Offensively, Penns Valley roped 12 hits.

Highlighting the night for the Lady Rams was a 10-run first inning.

Leading the offensive attack were Allie O’Brien (2 runs scored, stolen base), Avery Dinges (2 singles, double, 4 RBIs, 2 runs scored, 1 stolen base), Lauren McMurtrie (single, run scored), Kendra Bumgardner (2 singles, HR, 4 RBIs, 3 runs scored), Kailen Winkelblech (single, RBI, run scored), Noelle Webb (double, run scored, 2 RBIs), Avelyn Van Heyst (single, run scored, RBI), Ellie Coursen (2 singles, 2 RBIs, 2 runs scored), Cheyanne Wolfe (run scored) and Leah Meyer (run scored).

Penns Valley limited Saint Joseph’s to one hit on the night.
