Lady Tigers shut out Millersburg in season Debut

The East Juniata girls softball team had its defense working early and often as it defeated Millersburg 2-0 Tuesday.

In the third inning, the Lady Tigers plated one and then added an insurance run in the sixth, en route to the victory.

Brenna Watts went 2-for-3 for East Juniata with two singles. Teammate Chesney Mattern also finished with a 2-for-3 outing posting a single and a double

Annika Martin, Alyssa Robinson both went 1-3 with a single.

Watts was sizzling on the mound with posting six strikeouts.

With the win, East Juniata is 1-0 on the season.
