Late Friday score: Bellefonte girls fall to tough Tyrone team

The Tyrone girls basketball team put on a very impressive defensively display Friday night as it defeated Bellefonte in a 50-17 contest.

Bella Corman scored more than half her teams points in the loss.

“We ran into a buzzsaw tonight. Tyrone is a well coached team and they held the momentum throughout,” said Bellefonte coach Marcus Toomer. “I am proud of the team’s fight and we will be better because of this.”

Tyrone was led offensively by Emma Getz who netted 14 points.

Teammates Kayleigh Gibbons finished with 11 and Stephanie Ramsey rallied 10.

Bellefonte’s record is 0-1.
