Late Monday score: Juniata tops Millersburg

On Monday, the Juniata girls’ defense made quite a statement as they dominated Millersburg 32-18 on Monday.

Leading the way for the Lady Indians’ basketball team was Mackenzie Bennett with nine points.

Jordan Millan led Millersburg with seven points in a losing effort.

It was a very slow start for both teams in the first as Juniata led 6-2.

But in the second period, it was a shut out for the Lady Indians as they put up nine points while holding Millersburg scoreless.

Juniata took a 15-2 advantage into the second half.

Things got better for the Lady Indians in the third as they posted a 13-point quarter while holding Millersburg to just three.

Going into the final Period, Millersburg was able to outscore Juniata 8-4 but it was too little, too late for them as Juniata went on to 32-18 win.
