Late result: The Mifflin County 12u Softball Allstars Come Up Short Against State College

The Mifflin County 12Us could not keep pace with State College falling 10-5 on Wednesday.
State College got on the board in the top of the first inning after Milana Lowe singled, scoring one run, Ryleigh Lintal drew a walk, scoring one run, Abby Szymanski singled, scoring two runs, Calysta Steffie tripled, scoring two runs, and Ali Saverino singled, scoring one run.
Mifflin County made the score 7-4 in the bottom of the first inning when Chelsea Anewalt singled, scoring one run, Grayce Napikoski homered to center field, scoring two runs, and Emily Dickson singled, scoring one run.
The Little Lions added one run in the third. Steffie walked, making the score 8-4.
Steffie earned the win for State College. The starting pitcher gave up seven hits and five runs (four earned) over six innings, striking out six and walking four.
Napikoski drove the middle of the lineup, leading Mifflin County with two runs batted in. The 3-hole hitter went 1-for-2 on the day. Dickson went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead MC in hits. Dickson and Brenna Benny each stole multiple bases for Mifflin County. The MC Allstars stole eight bases in the game.
State College piled up eight hits in the game. Ali went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead State College 12U Softball All-Star Team in hits. Milana Lowe, Saverino and Szymanski each drove in two runs for State College. Rachel Gilmore led State College with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, accumulating six walks for the game. Abby Szymanski stole three bases. State ran wild on the base paths, collecting eight stolen bases for the game. State College one double play in the game.
