Late Score Costs Mifflin County 15u All-Stars Against HNB

Thursday’s game against HNB 15U Regionals was a heartbreaker for Mifflin Co 15u All-Stars as they lost the lead late in a 14-11 defeat.  The game was tied at 11 with HBN batting in the top of the seventh when Jayden Jennings singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Kaden Walter drove in four runners in the loss.  Walter drove in runs on a double in the first and a single in the fourth.

Mifflin County took an early lead in the second inning when Cole Keister singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one MC tallied three runs in the fifth inning.  Mifflin County’s big inning was driven by a single by Hayden Yoder and an error on a ball put in play by Trevor Miles.

Triston Bonilla took the win for HNB . The lefty lasted two and a third innings, allowing four hits and three runs while striking out three and walking one.  Drew Maglowski, Josh Klena, and AJ Maddalena all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory.

Aidan Arnold took the loss for Mifflin County. Arnold surrendered four runs on two hits over one inning, striking out two and walking zero.

Chase Porcella started the game for HNB . The lefthander surrendered four runs on four hits over two innings Aiden Attivo started the game for Mifflin County. The pitcher lasted three innings, allowing three hits and four runs while striking out two

Mifflin County tallied 12 hits on the day.  Walter and Max Weader each had multiple hits for Mifflin County.  Weader and Walter each managed three hits to lead Mifflin County.

HNB totaled nine hits.  Bonilla and Maddalena all had multiple hits for HNB.
