Late Weekend results: MC shows it’s talents at PIAA State Track and Field Championships

SHIPPENSBURG – Mifflin County track and field athlete’s set their sights on Shippensburg this past weekend competing in the PIAA State Championships.

The Huskies Carter Smith finished 3rd in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:51.77.

Smith set a school record time in the 1600-meter run, earning him a 9th place time of 4:11.55

Teammate Myka Simmons made some noise at the event finishing at 10th place with a solid time of 21.84 in the 200-meter dash.

Rounding things out for the Huskies were Caden Bell, Isaac Parks-Gill, Wyatt Kauffman, and Carter Smith finished the 4×800 in 8:09.47, placing 23rd in the state.
