Late weekend Score: Juniata Falls to Halifax
The Juniata boys basketball team finished with two players finish in double-figures but it wasn’t enough as the Indians fell to Tri-Valley League foe Halifax, 61-48.
Jamie Bailor topped the scoring list for Juniata, posting a 17-point effort.
Teammate Emmanuel O’Donnell followed with a 16-point performance.
But it would be Halifax’s Nathan Blasick that would shine on this night, posting a game-high 26-points.
Teammates Nathan Berger and Corey Attivo both finished in double-digits with a 15 and 13 point out put in the win.
In the first, Halifax exploded in the first quarter, outscoring Juniata 17-2.
Juniata tallied 13 in the second quarter while Halifax notched 11 in the second.
Going into the intermission, Halifax held a 29-15 advantage.
Juniata was outscored 18-15 in the third but returned the favor but it wasn’t enough for the Indians to mount a successful comeback.
